Games for cats
From the very first game to the most recent, there are some great games for cats that you're probably not aware of. If you're looking for a way to entertain your cat or housecat while they aren't really feeling up to play, look no further! Below we listed some of our favorites in no particular order. Each has a specific age and interest group so keep an eye out for what works best. Happy hunting!
My Cat's Wish - A simple yet elegant classic with just three different choices which range from being left alone and played by itself to having me sit by her side as she tries to convince me it is safe to go outside and play .) This one is truly one of my favorites and is especially good if you want to give your pet/cat something very special as part of their birthday or Christmas time. There are lots of ways to put this one together—it could be done through video tutorials or even live training! The only downside is that my cat isn't too fond of it...so you'll have a hard time trying to get them to like it when it comes to food and attention. Just like many others on this list.
Paw Patrol & Me - Paw Patrol meets My Cat's Wish for a furry friend who can't quite decide between staying home alone or playing around in the yard without being told to. With five adorable paw pups on board, all with their own personalities and quirks, the cartoon is surprisingly easy to understand...even better if you want to make the pup friends! Not only does this cartoon feature a few super cute characters but also has an interesting story about two friendship groups; how they each went through a tough transition in life, then became pals, and how they found their love again. Even though there has been more than one iteration on the 'Paw Patrol' franchise, it never gets old. Don't be afraid to tell your dog there's another option. This one features several different selections from the original four. What started with a pair of furballs quickly grew to include rabbits, chinchillas, rabbits with ears or tails, skunks, dogs, hamsters, etc. In fact, there's a pre-purchase of 100 stuffed animals which allows you to pick a favorite pup from each bunch in order to become "pup tamer."
Sharknado – Another animated series that starts off fairly small and goes big at times. Sharknado is a 3D puzzle where everything in front of the screen appears connected. It is essentially a Pokémon-style adventure where you collect gems and solve puzzles in order to save people. These missions vary in difficulty depending on the number of steps required, and sometimes include new and exciting challenges until things get much grander. You can get either Sharknado Lite, the basic version or Sharknado Super which includes over 500 unique combinations which makes it feel almost like the real world in an actual or amusement . One fun thing is getting into character and changing your face color to the correct color of your choice.
My Kitty's Best Friends & Favorites - I got this one when mine was about 4 years old. Most of its colorful and quirky colors came out thanks to the large paper cutouts. At first you can choose from kittens, guinea pigs, mice, snakes, raccoons, birds, cats and more. When making your decision, make sure you check out the description before buying because you know exactly what kind your pet wants to play with. The reviews of this game have been pretty favorable so I'd definitely recommend you check them out. One other great thing is that your pets can be customized and change their appearance and personality with any alterations made. Of course I would also say that these are a little overwhelming at times when taking care of it might not feel rewarding. Fortunately it doesn't need to be as complicated. On top of having a handful of different toys you can also add cats and dog tags to boost the levels and increase variety.
Catworld - Probably the oldest game out there, it dates back to 1938 with original artwork coming from artist Charles Martin Smith. While many cats were born as toy cats, it took him 45 years to make his debut. In the end he ended up creating the game based on his own personal experiences. As far as we know, it's one of the longest running successful indie titles. Unlike the various previous iterations, you don't necessarily need to buy anything. Here you can make your own collage of your cat, take a photo of them and create your picture. Then go to World in Catland, use your mouse or keyboard and create your portrait. Lastly, download it and start exploring your cat world with nothing to lose. Be careful here, however. There are multiple glitches and crashes to try and avoid.
My Cat Time Puzzle Game - Nowadays, it's just called CatWorld on PC and Mac. However the original game has a lot of similarities to My Kitty's Worst Friends & Favorite Things version, right down to the graphics, music, sound effects, and story. As well as the same level selection, there is a new element of mystery as to why your cat likes yours. They come in a big array of flavors where you can select individual cats, all different variations with separate photos and descriptions. Definitely worth checking out when possible. After a quick preview, the gameplay begins. Your feline friends might also help you figure out how long it takes for your cat to show excitement at receiving something new. Good luck and happy holidays!
CatWorld - Again, a puzzle game that is actually more akin to Minecraft than CatWorld. Since your cat is stuck in a cage with a window that faces a mountain of ice, the map will appear like a sea of greenish water. But that's not the scary thing. Once you see it, your cat must climb out of the crate and move onto the mountain of ice in order to survive while avoiding falling rocks. An annoying aspect is that once someone else notices your tiny kitten clinging to the bars at a window, you lose access to them, leaving them trapped alone with the player. Luckily, it's easier said than done. Having a rescue animal means you won't lose them forever, but they still need rescuing. And unlike in Minecraft, you can also invite up to 10 cats to join you by connecting cats in order to participate in the hunt and rescue mission. The whole experience also gives you the chance to win special prizes such as gold coins for finding hidden chests. Maybe they weren't cats after all.
My Feline Friends & My Pet Friend - While the original game had pets playing together, now we can bring two or more cats and even a dog or two along with us. So yes, cats and dogs are able to play nicely side by side. Depending on the settings you have set, you can set your computer to only allow cats or even pets while the rest of the family members are allowed to go somewhere else. Or even if both aren't present, pets can be placed in cages that cannot be accessed. Either way, your cat and dog will spend a ton of time together trying to escape and explore whatever territory they get. Their ability to jump over furniture and jump higher heights is amazing! How cool are you to watch them get away from the person holding them? Plus the amount of freedom they have!
My Pets - Well, of course I thought I should mention this one too. Yes we can always play together as long as the cats and dogs are the same sex. No problem getting into bed, cuddling, laying together, etc. But how we chose our friends and pets actually had a bit more to do with creativity than your imagination. We added baby mice to the mix, baby kitty tails to the mix, and my cat with bird feathers. Who knew cats could make magic? Also, I've added a bear, a pig, a fox, even a unicorn. Oh yeah, unicorns.
My Dog Time Puzzle Game – Hey, guys I'm sorry to ask you to stop the party but my dog has officially moved on to my living room and it's only going to get worse from here on out. No longer will I be able to enjoy the last days of winter and all the wonderful scents of springtime. No longer will I be able to hear my mother singing songs of joy and relaxation. I might even find myself crying for comfort. I think I'm reaching breaking point and maybe its because my dog is starting to annoy me. He didn't mean to, though. This game simply needs to happen sooner rather than later. I need a break and some peace and quiet. Thank you for all this love. Hopefully I finally realize that I need to call the vet and tell them about the situation that I am suffering from. Thanks again guys and your fluffy friends and families. Peaceful nights all.
You can view more videos on Youtube, I mean it just looks like you can make all kinds of stuff. Make a collage of objects in a clear background and a picture of a flower. It doesn't matter where they are. Go anywhere you like in the world. It's basically endless possibilities, plus the quality isn't bad either. The difference is that you can create all these beautiful pictures of flowers in addition to the usual ones. Plus the idea to have cats on a beach, and dogs roaming the streets are very appealing. It's also a lot simpler because the only thing you need to go through is selecting the exact type of object and making sure to fill it. Pretty neat!
Catworld Puzzle Game - Oh, this I love. I'm going to keep talking about this game because it has been a favorite among all of my cats. Back in 2017, it was released by Studio Ghibli’s development company, Cartoon Factory. There are now over 80 different versions to choose from, and each has a
